Prior to versions 10.1.3 and 11.0.0-next.9, a denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the multipart file handling logic of @adonisjs/bodyparser. When processing file uploads, the multipart parser may accumulate an unbounded amount of data in memory while attempting to detect file types, potentially leading to excessive memory consumption and process termination. This issue has been patched in versions 10.1.3 and 11.0.0-next.9.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-400","CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/adonisjs/bodyparser/releases/tag/v10.1.3","https://github.com/adonisjs/bodyparser/releases/tag/v11.0.0-next.9","https://github.com/adonisjs/core/security/advisories/GHSA-xx9g-fh25-4q64"],"products":["adonisjs:bodyparser"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25762","score":0.00542,"percentile":0.45555,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-xx9g-fh25-4q64","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-xx9g-fh25-4q64","summary":"AdonisJS vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) via Unrestricted Memory Buffering in PartHandler during File Type Detection","modified":"2026-02-07T00:56:26.842707Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@adonisjs/bodyparser","purl":"pkg:npm/%40adonisjs/bodyparser","ranges":["<10.1.3"],"fixed":["10.1.3"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@adonisjs/bodyparser","purl":"pkg:npm/%40adonisjs/bodyparser","ranges":[">=11.0.0-next.0 <11.0.0-next.9"],"fixed":["11.0.0-next.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
