Prior to 2.10.1, the existing layers of security in enclave-vm are insufficient: The AST sanitization can be bypassed with dynamic property accesses, the hardening of the error objects does not cover the peculiar behavior or the vm module and the function constructor access prevention can be side-stepped by leveraging host object references. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.10.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:N/SC:H/SI:H/SA:H","score":6.4},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-835"],"references":["https://github.com/agentfront/enclave/commit/2fcf5da81e7e2578ede6f94cae4f379165426dca","https://github.com/agentfront/enclave/security/advisories/GHSA-x39w-8vm5-5m3p","https://www.staicu.org/publications/usenixSec2023-SandDriller.pdf"],"products":["agentfront:enclave"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25533","score":0.00259,"percentile":0.17663,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-x39w-8vm5-5m3p","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-x39w-8vm5-5m3p","summary":"Sandbox escape via infinite recursion and error objects","modified":"2026-02-07T00:53:41.866236Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"enclave-vm","purl":"pkg:npm/enclave-vm","ranges":["<=2.7.0"],"fixed":[]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@enclave-vm/core","purl":"pkg:npm/%40enclave-vm/core","ranges":["<2.10.1"],"fixed":["2.10.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
