Because this value is not restricted or validated against tenant ownership and Proxmox VM IDs are predictable, a non-privileged attacker can modify the setting to reference a VM belonging to another account. This allows unauthorized cross-tenant access and enables full control over the targeted VM, including starting, stopping, and destroying the virtual machine.\n\n\n\n\nUsers are recommended to upgrade to version 4.22.0.1, which fixes this issue.\n\n\n\n\nAs a workaround for the existing installations, editing of the proxmox_vmid instance detail by users can be prevented by adding this detail name to the global configuration parameter - user.vm.denied.details.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://lists.apache.org/thread/n8mt5b7wkpysstb8w7rr9f02kc5cq2xm","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/05/09/7"],"products":["apache:cloudstack"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T19:31:02.781428341+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25199","score":0.005,"percentile":0.4257,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
