Prior to version 2026.1.29, there is an OS command injection vulnerability via the Project Root Path in sshNodeCommand. The sshNodeCommand function constructed a shell script without properly escaping the user-supplied project path in an error message. When the cd command failed, the unescaped path was interpolated directly into an echo statement, allowing arbitrary command execution on the remote SSH host. The parseSSHTarget function did not validate that SSH target strings could not begin with a dash. An attacker-supplied target like -oProxyCommand=... would be interpreted as an SSH configuration flag rather than a hostname, allowing arbitrary command execution on the local machine. This issue has been patched in version 2026.1.29.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-78"],"references":["https://github.com/openclaw/openclaw/security/advisories/GHSA-q284-4pvr-m585"],"products":["openclaw:openclaw"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25157","score":0.01051,"percentile":0.64306,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-q284-4pvr-m585","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-q284-4pvr-m585","summary":"OpenClaw/Clawdbot has OS Command Injection via Project Root Path in sshNodeCommand","modified":"2026-02-04T23:35:45.254642Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"clawdbot","purl":"pkg:npm/clawdbot","ranges":["<2026.1.29"],"fixed":["2026.1.29"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
