Prior to version 1.19.0, a prototype pollution vulnerability exists in the formToObj() function within @builder.io/qwik-city middleware. The function processes form field names with dot notation (e.g., user.name) to create nested objects, but fails to sanitize dangerous property names like __proto__, constructor, and prototype. This allows unauthenticated attackers to pollute Object.prototype by sending crafted HTTP POST requests, potentially leading to privilege escalation, authentication bypass, or denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 1.19.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/QwikDev/qwik/commit/5f65bae2bc33e6ca0c21e4cfcf9eae05077716f7","https://github.com/QwikDev/qwik/security/advisories/GHSA-xqg6-98cw-gxhq"],"products":["qwik:qwik"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-25150","score":0.00719,"percentile":0.539,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-xqg6-98cw-gxhq","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-xqg6-98cw-gxhq","summary":"Prototype Pollution via FormData Processing in Qwik City","modified":"2026-02-04T18:09:26.229679Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@builder.io/qwik-city","purl":"pkg:npm/%40builder.io/qwik-city","ranges":["<1.19.0"],"fixed":["1.19.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
