{"cve":"CVE-2026-2502","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-19T07:17:46.570","modified":"2026-06-17T10:31:12.120","status":"Deferred","description":"The xmlrpc attacks blocker plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 1.0, via the 'X-Forwarded-For' HTTP header. This is due to the plugin trusting and logging attacker-controlled IP header data and rendering debug log entries without output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when an administrator views the debug log page.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/xmlrpc-attacks-blocker/tags/1.0/plugin.php#L186","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/xmlrpc-attacks-blocker/tags/1.0/plugin.php#L269","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/xmlrpc-attacks-blocker/tags/1.0/plugin.php#L312","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/xmlrpc-attacks-blocker/tags/1.0/plugin.php#L341","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/059f0c64-efcc-4b79-81eb-b4ae9e3e2826?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:23:35.260773158+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-2502","score":0.00316,"percentile":0.24535,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
