Prior to version 2.0.72, due to an error in command parsing, it was possible to bypass the Claude Code confirmation prompt to trigger execution of untrusted commands through the find command. Reliably exploiting this required the ability to add untrusted content into a Claude Code context window. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.72.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":7.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-78","CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/security/advisories/GHSA-qgqw-h4xq-7w8w"],"products":["anthropic:claude_code"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24887","score":0.00642,"percentile":0.50809,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qgqw-h4xq-7w8w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qgqw-h4xq-7w8w","summary":"Claude Code has a Command Injection in find Command Bypasses User Approval Prompt","modified":"2026-02-03T22:34:25.261494Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@anthropic-ai/claude-code","purl":"pkg:npm/%40anthropic-ai/claude-code","ranges":["<2.0.72"],"fixed":["2.0.72"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
