From versions alpha.13 to alpha.81, RustFS logs sensitive credential material (access key, secret key, session token) to application logs at INFO level. This results in credentials being recorded in plaintext in log output, which may be accessible to internal or external log consumers and could lead to compromise of sensitive credentials. This issue has been patched in version alpha.82.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:N/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.9},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-532"],"references":["https://github.com/rustfs/rustfs/security/advisories/GHSA-r54g-49rx-98cr"],"products":["rustfs:rustfs"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24762","score":0.00291,"percentile":0.21694,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-r54g-49rx-98cr","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-r54g-49rx-98cr","summary":"RustFS Logs Sensitive Credentials in Plaintext","modified":"2026-02-22T23:25:22.787037Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"rustfs","purl":"pkg:cargo/rustfs","ranges":[">=1.0.0-alpha.13 <1.0.0-alpha.82"],"fixed":["1.0.0-alpha.82"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
