Prior to version 4.4.5, a Stored Cross-site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in MobSF's Android manifest analysis allows an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of a victim's browser session by uploading a malicious APK. The `android:host` attribute from `<data android:scheme=\"android_secret_code\">` elements is rendered in HTML reports without sanitization, enabling session hijacking and account takeover. Version 4.4.5 fixes the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/MobSF/Mobile-Security-Framework-MobSF/commit/2b08dd050e7685ee2a14fdbb454affab94129eae","https://github.com/MobSF/Mobile-Security-Framework-MobSF/releases/tag/v4.4.5","https://github.com/MobSF/Mobile-Security-Framework-MobSF/security/advisories/GHSA-8hf7-h89p-3pqj"],"products":["opensecurity:mobile_security_framework"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24490","score":0.00349,"percentile":0.28528,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-8hf7-h89p-3pqj","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-8hf7-h89p-3pqj","summary":"MobSF has Stored XSS via Manifest Analysis - Dialer Code Host Field","modified":"2026-07-07T17:57:17.329457770Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mobsf","purl":"pkg:pypi/mobsf","ranges":["<4.4.5"],"fixed":["4.4.5"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-1668","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-1668","summary":"MobSF has Stored XSS via Manifest Analysis - Dialer Code Host Field","modified":"2026-07-07T17:47:05.772857338Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mobsf","purl":"pkg:pypi/mobsf","ranges":["<4.4.5"],"fixed":["4.4.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
