{"cve":"CVE-2026-24470","nvd":{"published":"2026-01-26T23:16:09.123","modified":"2026-06-17T10:23:07.030","status":"Analyzed","description":"Skipper is an HTTP router and reverse proxy for service composition. Prior to version 0.24.0, when running Skipper as an Ingress controller, users with permissions to create an Ingress and a Service of type ExternalName can create routes that enable them to use Skipper's network access to reach internal services. Version 0.24.0 disables Kubernetes ExternalName by default. As a workaround, developers can allow list targets of an ExternalName and allow list via regular expressions.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":8.1},"cwes":["CWE-441","CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/zalando/skipper/commit/a4c87ce029a58eb8e1c2c1f93049194a39cf6219","https://github.com/zalando/skipper/security/advisories/GHSA-mxxc-p822-2hx9","https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/services-networking/service/#externalname"],"products":["zalando:skipper"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24470","score":0.00313,"percentile":0.24286,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-mxxc-p822-2hx9","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-mxxc-p822-2hx9","summary":"Skipper Ingress Controller Allows Unauthorized Access to Internal Services via ExternalName","modified":"2026-02-03T03:05:02.269547Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/zalando/skipper","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/zalando/skipper","ranges":["<0.24.0"],"fixed":["0.24.0"]}]},{"id":"GO-2026-4378","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2026-4378","summary":"Skipper Ingress Controller Allows Unauthorized Access to Internal Services via ExternalName in github.com/zalando/skipper","modified":"2026-03-03T04:57:55.138492Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/zalando/skipper","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/zalando/skipper","ranges":["<0.24.0"],"fixed":["0.24.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
