Prior to 4.1.0, user control of the first argument of the addImage method results in denial of service. If given the possibility to pass unsanitized image data or URLs to the addImage method, a user can provide a harmful BMP file that results in out of memory errors and denial of service. Harmful BMP files have large width and/or height entries in their headers, which lead to excessive memory allocation. The html method is also affected. The vulnerability has been fixed in jsPDF@4.1.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-770"],"references":["https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/commit/ae4b93f76d8fc1baa5614bd5fdb5d174c3b85f0d","https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/releases/tag/v4.1.0","https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/security/advisories/GHSA-95fx-jjr5-f39c"],"products":["parall:jspdf"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24133","score":0.00617,"percentile":0.49581,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-95fx-jjr5-f39c","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-95fx-jjr5-f39c","summary":"jsPDF Vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) via Unvalidated BMP Dimensions in BMPDecoder","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:34.569379842Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"jspdf","purl":"pkg:npm/jspdf","ranges":["<4.1.0"],"fixed":["4.1.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
