{"cve":"CVE-2026-24040","nvd":{"published":"2026-02-02T23:16:07.660","modified":"2026-06-17T10:22:30.403","status":"Analyzed","description":"jsPDF is a library to generate PDFs in JavaScript. Prior to 4.1.0, the addJS method in the jspdf Node.js build utilizes a shared module-scoped variable (text) to store JavaScript content. When used in a concurrent environment (e.g., a Node.js web server), this variable is shared across all requests. If multiple requests generate PDFs simultaneously, the JavaScript content intended for one user may be overwritten by a subsequent request before the document is generated. This results in Cross-User Data Leakage, where the PDF generated for User A contains the JavaScript payload (and any embedded sensitive data) intended for User B. Typically, this only affects server-side environments, although the same race conditions might occur if jsPDF runs client-side. The vulnerability has been fixed in jsPDF@4.1.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-362"],"references":["https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/commit/2863e5c26afef211a545e8c174ab4d5fce3b8c0e","https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/releases/tag/v4.1.0","https://github.com/parallax/jsPDF/security/advisories/GHSA-cjw8-79x6-5cj4"],"products":["parall:jspdf"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-24040","score":0.00278,"percentile":0.2025,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-cjw8-79x6-5cj4","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-cjw8-79x6-5cj4","summary":"jsPDF has Shared State Race Condition in addJS Plugin","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:59.422390070Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"jspdf","purl":"pkg:npm/jspdf","ranges":["<4.1.0"],"fixed":["4.1.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
