A signature malleability vulnerability exists in the SM2 signature verification logic of the sm-crypto library prior to version 0.3.14. An attacker can derive a new valid signature for a previously signed message from an existing signature. Version 0.3.14 patches the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-347"],"references":["https://github.com/JuneAndGreen/sm-crypto/security/advisories/GHSA-qv7w-v773-3xqm"],"products":["juneandgreen:sm-crypto"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23967","score":0.00211,"percentile":0.11317,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-qv7w-v773-3xqm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-qv7w-v773-3xqm","summary":"sm-crypto Affected by Signature Malleability in SM2-DSA","modified":"2026-02-03T03:10:18.226059Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"sm-crypto","purl":"pkg:npm/sm-crypto","ranges":["<0.3.14"],"fixed":["0.3.14"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
