A later strlen() on this buffer (in golioth_coap_client_get_internal()) can read past the end of the allocation, resulting in a crash/denial of service. The input is application-controlled (not network by default).","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:L/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L","score":2.9},"cwes":["CWE-170"],"references":["https://blog.secmate.dev/posts/golioth-vulnerabilities-disclosure/","https://github.com/golioth/golioth-firmware-sdk/commit/0e788217ab4b61a7c1d9fadd1b4a40f5f538a26d","https://github.com/golioth/golioth-firmware-sdk/releases/tag/v0.22.0","https://secmate.dev/disclosures/SECMATE-2025-0017","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/golioth-firmware-sdk-blockwise-transfer-path-out-of-bounds-read"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:24:17.937441719+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23749","score":0.00184,"percentile":0.07999,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
