Versions 1.4.2 and earlier are vulnerable to remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability, which allows an attacker to send a crafted HTTP request that triggers the installation of an MCP server, leading to RCE. Since MCPJam inspector by default listens on 0.0.0.0 instead of 127.0.0.1, an attacker can trigger the RCE remotely via a simple HTTP request. Version 1.4.3 contains a patch.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-306"],"references":["https://github.com/MCPJam/inspector/commit/e6b9cf9d9e6c9cbec31493b1bdca3a1255fe3e7a","https://github.com/MCPJam/inspector/security/advisories/GHSA-232v-j27c-5pp6"],"products":["mcpjam:inspector"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23744","score":0.67516,"percentile":0.9931,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-232v-j27c-5pp6","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-232v-j27c-5pp6","summary":"REC in MCPJam inspector due to HTTP Endpoint exposes","modified":"2026-02-03T03:10:20.980844Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@mcpjam/inspector","purl":"pkg:npm/%40mcpjam/inspector","ranges":["<1.4.3"],"fixed":["1.4.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
