From 2.2.1 to before 2.4.1 and 3.1.1, when 2 or more parallel requests are made which trigger the same service, the context of the requests is mixed up in the service when the context is injected via @ExecutionContext(). ExecutionContext is often used to pass authentication tokens from incoming requests to services loading data from backend APIs. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.4.1 and 3.1.1.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.7},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-362"],"references":["https://github.com/graphql-hive/graphql-modules/issues/2613","https://github.com/graphql-hive/graphql-modules/pull/2521","https://github.com/graphql-hive/graphql-modules/releases/tag/release-1768575025568","https://github.com/graphql-hive/graphql-modules/security/advisories/GHSA-53wg-r69p-v3r7"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:21:16.563232421+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23735","score":0.0056,"percentile":0.46623,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-53wg-r69p-v3r7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-53wg-r69p-v3r7","summary":"GraphQL Modules has a Race Condition issue","modified":"2026-02-03T03:11:43.933186Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"graphql-modules","purl":"pkg:npm/graphql-modules","ranges":[">=2.2.1 <2.4.1"],"fixed":["2.4.1"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"graphql-modules","purl":"pkg:npm/graphql-modules","ranges":[">=3.0.0 <3.1.1"],"fixed":["3.1.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
