Some of them could easily exceed that,\nand Jiaming Zhang found a few places where that can happen with syzbot.\n\nThe descriptions are debugging aids and aren't required to be unique, so\nlet's just pass in static strings and eliminate this path to failure.\nNote this patch touches a number of commits, most of which were merged\nbetween 6.6 and 6.14.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/18e9cf2259b4157fd282b323514375f2f6a59edb","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2d8afee89262762fe0e5547772708c75f320c957","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/60382993a2e18041f88c7969f567f168cd3b4de3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/695455fbc49053cbf555f2f302a5dcd600f412ff"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:26:19.218427112+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23252","score":0.00127,"percentile":0.02334,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
