In the complete callback\nesd_usb_read_bulk_callback(), the URBs are processed and resubmitted. In\nesd_usb_close() the URBs are freed by calling\nusb_kill_anchored_urbs(&dev->rx_submitted).\n\nHowever, this does not take into account that the USB framework unanchors\nthe URB before the complete function is called. This means that once an\nin-URB has been completed, it is no longer anchored and is ultimately not\nreleased in esd_usb_close().\n\nFix the memory leak by anchoring the URB in the\nesd_usb_read_bulk_callback() to the dev->rx_submitted anchor.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5a4391bdc6c8357242f62f22069c865b792406b3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/92d26ce07ac3b7a850dc68c8d73d487b39c39b33","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/93b34d4ba7266030801a509c088ac77c0d7a12e9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9d1807b442fc3286b204f8e59981b10e743533ce","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a9503ae43256e80db5cba9d449b238607164c51d"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23075","score":0.00147,"percentile":0.03921,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
