When the device\nreports a single receive queue, rndis_filter_device_add() does not\nallocate an indirection table, accepting RSS hash key updates in this\nstate leads to a hang.\n\nFix this by gating netvsc_set_rxfh() on ndc->rx_table_sz and return\n-EOPNOTSUPP when the table is absent. This aligns set_rxfh with the device\ncapabilities and prevents incorrect behavior.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/11dd9a9ef4dc4507a15a69b8511a0013c6c28fa3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4cd55c609e85ae2313248ef1a33619a3eef44a16","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8288136f508e78eb3563e7073975999cf225a2f9","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/82c9039c8ebb715753a40434df714f865a3aec9c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d23564955811da493f34412d7de60fa268c8cb50"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23054","score":0.00203,"percentile":0.10132,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
