The function directly assigns NULL to gchan->config, losing the\n reference to the original memory\n4. The original memory becomes unreachable and cannot be freed\n\nFix this by using a temporary variable to hold the krealloc() result\nand only updating gchan->config when the allocation succeeds.\n\nFound via static analysis and code review.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/01b1d781394fc9b83015e3a3cd46b17bda842bd8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3f747004bbd641131d9396d87b5d2d3d1e182728","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4532f18e4ab36def1f55cd936d0fc002b2ce34c2","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/55a67ba5ac4cebfd54cc8305d4d57a0f1dfe6a85","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/694ab1f6f16cb69f7c5ef2452b22ba7b00a3c7c7"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-23026","score":0.00213,"percentile":0.11478,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
