From 2.49.0 to 2.49.4, the experimental form remote function uses a binary data format containing a representation of submitted form data. A specially-crafted payload can cause the server to allocate a large amount of memory, causing DoS via memory exhaustion. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.49.5.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.2},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-770","CWE-789"],"references":["https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/commit/8ed8155215b9a74012fecffb942ad9a793b274e5","https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/releases/tag/@sveltejs%2Fadapter-node@5.5.1","https://github.com/sveltejs/kit/security/advisories/GHSA-j2f3-wq62-6q46"],"products":["svelte:kit"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-22803","score":0.0059,"percentile":0.48206,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-j2f3-wq62-6q46","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-j2f3-wq62-6q46","summary":"@sveltejs/kit has memory amplification DoS vulnerability in Remote Functions binary form deserializer (application/x-sveltekit-formdata)","modified":"2026-02-03T03:17:30.743873Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@sveltejs/kit","purl":"pkg:npm/%40sveltejs/kit","ranges":[">=2.49.0 <2.49.5"],"fixed":["2.49.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
