{"cve":"CVE-2026-22774","nvd":{"published":"2026-01-15T19:16:05.813","modified":"2026-07-15T02:18:35.620","status":"Modified","description":"Svelte devalue is a JavaScript library that serializes values into strings when JSON.stringify isn't sufficient for the job. From 5.3.0 to 5.6.1, certain inputs can cause devalue.parse to consume excessive CPU time and/or memory, potentially leading to denial of service in systems that parse input from untrusted sources. This affects applications using devalue.parse on externally-supplied data. The root cause is the typed array hydration expecting an ArrayBuffer as input, but not checking the assumption before creating the typed array. This vulnerability is fixed in 5.6.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-405"],"references":["https://github.com/sveltejs/devalue/commit/e46afa64dd2b25aa35fb905ba5d20cea63aabbf7","https://github.com/sveltejs/devalue/releases/tag/v5.6.2","https://github.com/sveltejs/devalue/security/advisories/GHSA-vw5p-8cq8-m7mv","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:2144","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:2926"],"products":["svelte:devalue"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-22774","score":0.00625,"percentile":0.49994,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vw5p-8cq8-m7mv","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vw5p-8cq8-m7mv","summary":"Devalue is vulnerable to denial of service due to memory exhaustion in devalue.parse","modified":"2026-02-03T03:17:35.098687Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"devalue","purl":"pkg:npm/devalue","ranges":[">=5.3.0 <5.6.2"],"fixed":["5.6.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
