Versions prior to 3.7.13 and versions 4.0.0 through 4.1.4 contain a sandbox bypass vulnerability in the optional Twig safe mode feature (CMS_SAFE_MODE). Certain methods on the collect() helper were not properly restricted, allowing authenticated users with template editing permissions to bypass sandbox protections. Exploitation requires authenticated backend access with CMS template editing permissions and only affects installations with CMS_SAFE_MODE enabled (disabled by default). This issue has been fixed in versions 3.7.13 and 4.1.5. To workaround this issue, users can disable CMS_SAFE_MODE if untrusted template editing is not required, and restrict CMS template editing permissions to fully trusted administrators only.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.8},"cwes":["CWE-284","CWE-693"],"references":["https://github.com/octobercms/october/security/advisories/GHSA-m5qg-jc75-4jp6"],"products":["octobercms:october"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T22:26:44.656832877+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-22692","score":0.00395,"percentile":0.33468,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
