Prior to version 11.14.0, an open redirect vulnerability exists in the Directus SAML authentication callback endpoint. During SAML authentication, the `RelayState` parameter is intended to preserve the user's original destination. However, while the login initiation flow validates redirect targets against allowed domains, this validation is not applied to the callback endpoint. This allows an attacker to craft a malicious authentication request that redirects users to an arbitrary external URL upon completion. The vulnerability is present in both the success and error handling paths of the callback. This vulnerability can be exploited without authentication. Version 11.14.0 contains a patch.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-601"],"references":["https://github.com/directus/directus/commit/dad9576ea9362905cc4de8028d3877caff36dc23","https://github.com/directus/directus/security/advisories/GHSA-3573-4c68-g8cc"],"products":["monospace:directus"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:19:41.481987139+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-22032","score":0.00231,"percentile":0.14003,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3573-4c68-g8cc","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3573-4c68-g8cc","summary":"Directus has open redirect in SAML","modified":"2026-02-03T03:15:39.368842Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"directus","purl":"pkg:npm/directus","ranges":["<11.14.0"],"fixed":["11.14.0"]},{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@directus/api","purl":"pkg:npm/%40directus/api","ranges":["<32.1.1"],"fixed":["32.1.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
