Prior to version alpha.78, IP-based access control can be bypassed: get_condition_values trusts client-supplied X-Forwarded-For/X-Real-Ip without verifying a trusted proxy, so any reachable client can spoof aws:SourceIp and satisfy IP-allowlist policies. This issue has been patched in version alpha.78.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:H/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:P","score":7.7},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-290"],"references":["https://github.com/rustfs/rustfs/security/advisories/GHSA-fc6g-2gcp-2qrq"],"products":["rustfs:rustfs"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-21862","score":0.00251,"percentile":0.16559,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-fc6g-2gcp-2qrq","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-fc6g-2gcp-2qrq","summary":"RustFS has SourceIp bypass via spoofed X-Forwarded-For/Real-IP headers","modified":"2026-02-03T19:03:44.212598Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"rustfs","purl":"pkg:cargo/rustfs","ranges":["<1.0.0-alpha.78"],"fixed":["1.0.0-alpha.78"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
