{"cve":"CVE-2026-18948","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-10T21:17:21.290","modified":"2026-09-28T10:16:44.017","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in Feast. The system improperly deserializes user-defined functions (UDFs) stored in its registry, which are serialized using the 'dill' library. This allows a remote attacker to store a malicious UDF, leading to unauthenticated arbitrary code execution on the feature server in default configurations. An authenticated attacker can also achieve arbitrary code execution on the registry server by bypassing authorization checks during deserialization. This vulnerability can result in cross-tenant data access and lateral movement within the system.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.9},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:53261","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:53262","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:53263","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:60520","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-18948"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:47:54.990491175+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-18948","score":0.01079,"percentile":0.65073,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
