{"cve":"CVE-2026-18817","nvd":{"published":"2026-08-04T22:17:14.117","modified":"2026-08-12T20:59:00.027","status":"Deferred","description":"A security flaw has been discovered in Baserow up to 2.3.2. Affected by this issue is the function BaserowImpersonateAuthTokenSerializer of the file backend/src/baserow/api/admin/users/serializers.py of the component Inactive Non-Staff User Handler. Performing a manipulation results in improper authorization. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The complexity of an attack is rather high. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The presence of this vulnerability remains uncertain at this time. Upgrading to version 2.3.3 can resolve this issue. The affected component should be upgraded. The project maintainer explains: \"While the problem exists, I'm not really sure if it's a vulnerability. (....) Even though the back gives a token for a deactivate user, none of the endpoints actually work. That said, we will fix it, but so far it seems more like a bug instead of a vulnerability.\"","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:N/PR:H/UI:N/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":2.1},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":2.2},"cwes":["CWE-266","CWE-285"],"references":["https://github.com/baserow/baserow/releases/tag/2.3.3","https://vuldb.com/cve/CVE-2026-18817","https://vuldb.com/submit/857942","https://vuldb.com/vuln/385816","https://vuldb.com/vuln/385816/cti"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:47:10.050265369+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-18817","score":0.00323,"percentile":0.25309,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
