An attacker with access to the pgAdmin web interface can observe an active restore operation, extract the `\\restrict` key in real time, and race the restore process by overwriting the restore script with a payload that re-enables meta-commands using `\\unrestrict <key>`. This results in reliable command execution on the pgAdmin host during the restore operation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":6.3},"cwes":["CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/pgadmin-org/pgadmin4/issues/9518"],"products":["pgadmin:pgadmin_4"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:22:27.261130201+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-1707","score":0.00445,"percentile":0.38739,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3p7x-94q9-jq9x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3p7x-94q9-jq9x","summary":"pgadmin4 affected by a Restore restriction bypass via key disclosure vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-13T16:43:18.792021942Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pgadmin4","purl":"pkg:pypi/pgadmin4","ranges":["<9.12"],"fixed":["9.12"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2864","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2864","summary":"pgadmin4 affected by a Restore restriction bypass via key disclosure vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:56.086856171Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pgadmin4","purl":"pkg:pypi/pgadmin4","ranges":["<9.12"],"fixed":["9.12"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
