{"cve":"CVE-2026-15811","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-21T06:16:28.343","modified":"2026-08-21T13:16:53.027","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A vulnerability was found in kronosnet's (version <=1.34) cryptographic configuration management. The framework does not correctly zero-out or wipe sensitive memory segments after executing changes to its cryptographic configuration. This omission leaves raw encryption keys resident in memory after the associated structures are freed. A local attacker capable of leveraging memory disclosure techniques could exploit this flaw to retrieve the active encryption key, allowing them to decrypt cluster network communications or inject malicious packets to cause severe high-availability cluster instability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L","score":5.8},"cwes":["CWE-212"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-15811","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2500849"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:36.895656543+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-15811","score":0.00082,"percentile":0.00203,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
