{"cve":"CVE-2026-1462","nvd":{"published":"2026-04-13T15:17:18.967","modified":"2026-07-15T02:18:14.727","status":"Modified","description":"A vulnerability in the `TFSMLayer` class of the `keras` package, version 3.13.0, allows attacker-controlled TensorFlow SavedModels to be loaded during deserialization of `.keras` models, even when `safe_mode=True`. This bypasses the security guarantees of `safe_mode` and enables arbitrary attacker-controlled code execution during model inference under the victim's privileges. The issue arises due to the unconditional loading of external SavedModels, serialization of attacker-controlled file paths, and the lack of validation in the `from_config()` method.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://github.com/keras-team/keras/commit/b6773d3decaef1b05d8e794458e148cb362f163f","https://huntr.com/bounties/7e78d6f1-6977-4300-b595-e81bdbda331c","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:24977","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:37275","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-1462"],"products":["keras:keras","redhat:openshift_ai"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:30:49.762551342+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-1462","score":0.00405,"percentile":0.34748,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4f3f-g24h-fr8m","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4f3f-g24h-fr8m","summary":"Keras has an untrusted deserialization vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:51:00.954524193Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"keras","purl":"pkg:pypi/keras","ranges":["<3.13.2"],"fixed":["3.13.2"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-2547","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-2547","summary":"Keras has an untrusted deserialization vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-13T16:32:00.924214170Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"keras","purl":"pkg:pypi/keras","ranges":["<3.13.2"],"fixed":["3.13.2"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
