This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires an attacker to first obtain a valid nonce and secure nonce via the publicly accessible ar_get_fresh_nonce and ar_process_user_image nopriv AJAX handlers, and to reproduce the encryption key locally — both steps are fully achievable by an unauthenticated attacker on any default free or unlicensed installation where ar_licence_key is unset.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/ar-for-wordpress/tags/8.40/ar-wordpress.php#L118","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/ar-for-wordpress/tags/8.40/ar-wordpress.php#L130","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/ar-for-wordpress/tags/8.40/includes/ar-secure-download.php#L64","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/ar-for-wordpress/tags/8.40/includes/ar-secure-download.php#L98","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3593272%40ar-for-wordpress&new=3593272%40ar-for-wordpress&sfp_email=&sfph_mail="],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:42:16.820116992+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-14327","score":0.00615,"percentile":0.49496,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
