{"cve":"CVE-2026-13179","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-25T08:16:39.820","modified":"2026-09-25T14:17:17.977","status":"Deferred","description":"The WP Maps – Google Maps,OpenStreetMap,Mapbox,Store Locator,Listing,Directory & Filters plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via shapes_values Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.9.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The fc-call-nonce nonce required by the endpoint is exposed to all frontend visitors who view a map page via window.wpgmp_local.nonce, enabling any authenticated subscriber to read the nonce and craft a valid request; additionally, the secondary _wpnonce check in the drawing handler can be bypassed by simply omitting the _wpnonce parameter from the request.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-map-plugin/tags/4.9.3/assets/js/maps.js#L8477","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-map-plugin/tags/4.9.3/modules/drawing/views/manage.php#L32","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-map-plugin/tags/4.9.3/modules/shortcode/views/put-wpgmp.php#L1263","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-map-plugin/tags/4.9.3/wp-google-map-plugin.php#L605","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-google-map-plugin/tags/4.9.3/wp-google-map-plugin.php#L619"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:56:02.509636177+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-13179","score":0.00342,"percentile":0.27739,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
