{"cve":"CVE-2026-12997","nvd":{"published":"2026-07-15T19:16:56.890","modified":"2026-07-15T19:50:25.310","status":"Deferred","description":"The Gravity Forms plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 2.10.4 via the 'gform_uploaded_files' parameter parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information. Exploitation requires the targeted form to not enforce login (so publicly accessible), which allows the unauthenticated attacker to reach the process_send_resume_link endpoint and supply an arbitrary recipient email address to receive the traversal-retrieved file as a notification attachment.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://www.gravityforms.com/","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/5c03c07f-8f41-47c2-bc95-d92a623f5f7c?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:45:36.895656543+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-12997","score":0.00928,"percentile":0.60543,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
