A content upload functionality where insufficient authorization checks in the ContentUploadsController allowed users with the edit_products permission to query content information for repositories outside the products they were authorized to manage. An authenticated attacker could exploit this issue to determine whether specific content exists within repositories that should otherwise be inaccessible. This issue does not allow unauthorized modification, import, or publication of content.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:50221","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:50222","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:50223","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2026:50263","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-12515"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:39:28.638635428+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-12515","score":0.00223,"percentile":0.12913,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-c43c-rf7g-5xpg","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-c43c-rf7g-5xpg","summary":"katello: missing repository authorization in content_uploads exposes cross-product content existence","modified":"2026-08-05T00:45:57.347825721Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"RubyGems","name":"katello","purl":"pkg:gem/katello","ranges":["<4.21.0.rc1"],"fixed":["4.21.0.rc1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
