{"cve":"CVE-2026-12483","nvd":{"published":"2026-09-04T14:17:17.480","modified":"2026-09-08T13:12:58.310","status":"Deferred","description":"The LearnDash LMS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unrestricted File Type Upload in versions up to and including 5.1.5. This is due to insufficient input validation in the 'learndash_fileupload_process' function, which iterates through an entire array and validates only the first file. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above who are enrolled in a course with assignment uploads enabled, to upload arbitrary disallowed files, including PHP files, to the server's wp-content/uploads/learndash/assignments/ directory. The uploaded files can only be used for Remote Code Execution if default server configurations have been changed to allow for execution.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-434"],"references":["https://www.liquidweb.com/software/learndash/","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/a539ba27-ad9b-4fe6-8df4-71e262c7b158?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:52:03.409947763+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-12483","score":0.00648,"percentile":0.51055,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
