{"cve":"CVE-2026-11997","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-24T07:16:26.280","modified":"2026-06-25T13:26:11.740","status":"Deferred","description":"The Bulk SEO Image plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to and including 1.1. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the plugin's settings page handler BulkSeoImage(), which dispatches to launchbulk() / BulkSeoImageGo() whenever the request contains $_POST['bulkseoimage']. No wp_nonce_field() is emitted in the form and no check_admin_referer()/wp_verify_nonce() is performed before bulk-overwriting the _wp_attachment_image_alt post meta for every image attached to every published post and/or page. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to bulk-overwrite image ALT-text metadata across the site via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-seo-image/tags/1.1/bulk-seo-image.php#L11","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-seo-image/tags/1.1/bulk-seo-image.php#L147","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bulk-seo-image/tags/1.1/bulk-seo-image.php#L76","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/ef176a6c-33d1-45d6-8a1d-3df1e8eb2170?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-11997","score":0.0019,"percentile":0.08703,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
