When a vault provider is used to store sensitive information, an authenticated client owner can use a specially crafted reference to trick the system into revealing secrets. By updating a client secret to point to a vault entry and then requesting the client configuration, the owner can see the secret value in plain text. This could lead to the exposure of sensitive credentials that the user should not be able to access.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-117688","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2561961"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-29T07:45:51.975325464+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
