{"cve":"CVE-2026-116552","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-30T18:17:23.727","modified":"2026-10-30T18:33:26.087","status":"Deferred","description":"The Like Button Rating ♥ LikeBtn plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'HTTP_CLIENT_IP (Client-IP header)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.64 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires the site administrator to have disabled the default 'Be GDPR compliant' option, which would otherwise hash stored IP values and neutralize the payload. Successful exploitation additionally requires an action by an administrator — the attacker cannot trigger the vulnerability on their own.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.7},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/likebtn-like-button/tags/2.6.64/includes/tab_votes.php#L285","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/likebtn-like-button/tags/2.6.64/likebtn_like_button.php#L6858","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/likebtn-like-button/tags/2.6.64/likebtn_like_button.php#L6968","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/likebtn-like-button/tags/2.6.64/likebtn_like_button.php#L7765","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?reponame=&new=3773664%40likebtn-like-button%2Ftags%2F2.6.65&old=3665718%40likebtn-like-button%2Ftags%2F2.6.64"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-30T18:49:48.261177059+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
