A run followed by a bare LF and then a CRLF can never match, and the engine retries the match once for each digit, so the time taken grows with the square of the run length. Nothing limits the length of the run, which can span several reads.\n\nA remote attacker can occupy a worker for about a minute of CPU time with one 128 KiB request, before the application is called.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-1333"],"references":["https://github.com/kazuho/Starlet/commit/229ea56b3b50028e2a644156317e8d0e7cf68a1f.patch","https://metacpan.org/release/KAZUHO/Starlet-0.33/changes"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-30T13:47:47.119061695+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
