{"cve":"CVE-2026-115825","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-25T17:17:01.990","modified":"2026-10-26T02:17:06.217","status":"Received","description":"HTTP::Server::PSGI versions before 1.0056 for Perl allow a single request to crash the server by declaring a large Content-Length.\n\nThe request body is read with sysread() calls sized by the remaining Content-Length. Perl grows the read buffer to the requested length before any data arrives, so the server tries to allocate as much memory as the client declares.\n\nA remote attacker can send one request with a large Content-Length and a few body bytes, and perl exits with an out-of-memory error before the application is called. HTTP::Server::PSGI runs as a single process, so the server stays down until restarted.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-789"],"references":["https://github.com/plack/Plack/commit/11545871cadc5df1b744cebb429cfeb4ebc1069a.patch","https://metacpan.org/release/MIYAGAWA/Plack-1.0056/changes","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/10/26/10"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-26T02:37:26.505365588+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
