After the ECE certificate rotation procedure runs, data that it retains contains platform credentials and certificate authority private keys, and lower-privileged platform components can read this data. An attacker who controls any host in the installation can use this data to get full control of the ECE control plane and of the deployments that it manages.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":6.4},"cwes":["CWE-538"],"references":["https://discuss.elastic.co/t/elastic-cloud-enterprise-ece-3-8-6-and-4-2-1-security-update-esa-2026-212/391261"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-29T15:44:51.868933322+00:00"},"epss":null,"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
