{"cve":"CVE-2026-115485","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-23T01:16:53.817","modified":"2026-10-23T16:44:17.950","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in the iscsiuio component of open-iscsi. The DHCPv6 option parser calls strlen() on raw network data without ensuring a NUL terminator is present, causing it to read past the buffer into heap memory. This can result in a daemon crash, a 1-byte heap overwrite, or corruption of the iSCSI initiator name. An attacker on the same network segment can trigger this by sending a crafted DHCPv6 Advertise message.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:A/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L","score":6.3},"cwes":["CWE-125"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-115485","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2556266"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:35.584907681+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-115485","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09809,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
