This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the personally identifiable information (first name, last name, phone number, and notes) of any existing customer record, including those linked to administrator accounts, by submitting the booking form with a known customer's email address. Exploitation requires the plugin to be configured with guest bookings enabled (is_customer_auth_disabled() returning true), which is necessary for the vulnerable unauthenticated code path in process_step_customer() to be reached.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":5.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/latepoint/tags/5.3.2/lib/controllers/steps_controller.php#L22","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/latepoint/tags/5.3.2/lib/helpers/steps_helper.php#L1892","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/latepoint/tags/5.3.2/lib/helpers/steps_helper.php#L1953","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/latepoint/tags/5.3.2/lib/helpers/steps_helper.php#L1980","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/latepoint/tags/5.6.1/lib/controllers/steps_controller.php#L22"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:42:16.820116992+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-11398","score":0.00561,"percentile":0.46706,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
