{"cve":"CVE-2026-11367","nvd":{"published":"2026-06-30T06:16:23.083","modified":"2026-06-30T14:08:13.510","status":"Deferred","description":"The PixMagix – WordPress Image Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Directory Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.2 via the move_image_on_server function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to write files with attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations on the server. The unsanitized 'layers[].id' parameter is concatenated into a filesystem path and passed to PHP's copy() function, allowing traversal sequences (e.g. '../../') to escape the intended upload directory and write attacker-supplied file contents to arbitrary paths accessible by the web server process. The save_template REST endpoint is gated by the create_projects permission (edit_pixmagix + upload_files), which Author-level users hold by default after plugin activation, making this exploitable by any Author on sites running PixMagix.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/pixmagix/tags/1.7.2/includes/rest-api/rest-callback-save-template.php#L103","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/pixmagix/tags/1.7.2/includes/rest-api/rest-callback-save-template.php#L91","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/pixmagix/tags/1.7.2/includes/utils.php#L465","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/c87adbd9-3b09-403e-921a-31b3f58962e9?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:41:17.107060303+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-11367","score":0.00794,"percentile":0.56392,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
