{"cve":"CVE-2026-113651","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-20T17:17:35.940","modified":"2026-10-20T19:53:10.247","status":"Deferred","description":"ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system, and uploadfs is its file storage library. Prior to uploadfs 1.28.0, attacker-controlled paths that reach the local backend can contain parent-directory segments that escape the configured upload directory and affect file reads, writes, and deletion on the host filesystem. Exploitability depends on an application exposing the relevant uploadfs operations to untrusted path. This issue is fixed in uploadfs 1.28.0.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":3.3},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/commit/9500b8b0e1d630d5e07fbb5fd2c25ed0943845ce","https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/commit/f84fd41cbf6c22eb8d0008fc9c25df1f7130b350","https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/releases/tag/uploadfs@1.28.0","https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/security/advisories/GHSA-gmfx-5g6x-rr72","https://github.com/apostrophecms/apostrophe/security/advisories/GHSA-gmfx-5g6x-rr72"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-113651","score":0.00328,"percentile":0.25686,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-gmfx-5g6x-rr72","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-gmfx-5g6x-rr72","summary":"ApostropheCMS: Path traversal in uploadfs","modified":"2026-10-20T18:30:03.588737115Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"uploadfs","purl":"pkg:npm/uploadfs","ranges":["<1.28.0"],"fixed":["1.28.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
