{"cve":"CVE-2026-113429","nvd":{"published":"2026-11-01T10:18:34.557","modified":"2026-11-01T10:18:34.670","status":"Deferred","description":"Legacy (v1 to v3) Actions artifact uploads stored the request's `Content-Encoding` header unchecked in the column that is served as the artifact's `Content-Type` on download, and a value starting with `video/` or `audio/` also removed the sandboxing Content-Security-Policy. A user who can run an Actions job could upload an artifact that a browser renders as HTML on the Gitea origin when the direct artifact download URL is opened, and the URL is reachable anonymously on public repositories. A victim who opens the link runs the attacker's script with their own session, which for an administrator means control of the instance. Legacy uploads now store only the `gzip` marker, and the special serve headers are chosen only for valid media types.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://blog.gitea.com/release-of-28.3.0/","https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39855","https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39996","https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/releases/tag/v28.3.0","https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/security/advisories/GHSA-9v6p-xpcp-7488"],"reference_tags":[{"url":"https://blog.gitea.com/release-of-28.3.0/","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39855","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/pull/39996","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/releases/tag/v28.3.0","tags":[]},{"url":"https://github.com/go-gitea/gitea/security/advisories/GHSA-9v6p-xpcp-7488","tags":[]}],"products":[],"affected":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-11-01T10:34:16.358491727+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-113429","score":0.00228,"percentile":0.13621,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"exploits":[],"weaknesses":[{"name":"Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation","common_name":"Cross-site Scripting","deprecated":false,"replaced_by":[],"id":"CWE-79"}],"osv":[],"fixed":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
