Prior to 3.14.4, an attacker can send an absolute-form request that causes Request.scheme to use attacker-controlled request-target scheme data instead of the connection protocol. Applications that use Request.scheme for security decisions can consequently be tricked into treating an unencrypted connection as encrypted or an encrypted connection as unencrypted. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.4.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":6.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-807"],"references":["https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/commit/6d4e7b01f9b951aa084a75d7356e907d4ee80411","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/releases/tag/v3.14.4","https://github.com/aio-libs/aiohttp/security/advisories/GHSA-f9xw-jh8m-3mwq"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-111748","score":0.00386,"percentile":0.32429,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f9xw-jh8m-3mwq","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f9xw-jh8m-3mwq","summary":"AIOHTTP: Absolute-form request targets can spoof Request.scheme","modified":"2026-10-20T20:15:05.218624757Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"aiohttp","purl":"pkg:pypi/aiohttp","ranges":["<3.14.4"],"fixed":["3.14.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
