{"cve":"CVE-2026-111057","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-19T16:17:03.810","modified":"2026-10-19T21:14:14.150","status":"Deferred","description":"Mercury is a Python framework for sharing Jupyter notebooks as web applications and dashboards. From 3.0.0 until 3.2.4, a missing comma in BLOCKED_PATTERNS concatenates the /lab and /api/terminals regular-expression literals. Requests to /api/terminals therefore bypass the anonymous endpoint blocklist and reach Jupyter Server's terminal API. An unauthenticated attacker can use the resulting interactive operating-system shell to execute commands and access data available to the Mercury process. This issue is fixed in version 3.2.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":10.0},"cwes":["CWE-185","CWE-284"],"references":["https://github.com/mljar/mercury/commit/8c467129037ee9df269d543ac217ffd33b97bf3f","https://github.com/mljar/mercury/releases/tag/v3.2.4","https://github.com/mljar/mercury/security/advisories/GHSA-f8c7-rwf9-fmgm"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-21T03:56:58.798400159+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-111057","score":0.00443,"percentile":0.38217,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f8c7-rwf9-fmgm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f8c7-rwf9-fmgm","summary":"Mercury: Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution in /api/terminals - access control bypass","modified":"2026-10-19T17:15:04.105175540Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mercury","purl":"pkg:pypi/mercury","ranges":[">=3.0.0 <3.2.4"],"fixed":["3.2.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
