{"cve":"CVE-2026-109082","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-12T07:16:36.303","modified":"2026-10-15T16:33:26.290","status":"Awaiting Analysis","description":"A flaw was found in the Client-Initiated Backchannel Authentication CIBA implementation within the keycloak-services component of Keycloak. This component handles advanced authentication flows where a client initiates a login on behalf of a user. The issue occurs because Keycloak fails to verify that a client is authorized to use the CIBA flow, allowing public clients to bypass security requirements. An attacker could use this flaw to trick a user into approving a login request, eventually gaining full access to the users account without needing a client secret.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":6.8},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2026-109082","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2549478"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:58:52.678897993+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-109082","score":0.00248,"percentile":0.15909,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
