{"cve":"CVE-2026-107764","nvd":{"published":"2026-10-16T06:17:06.380","modified":"2026-10-16T15:17:05.660","status":"Deferred","description":"The SiteOrigin CSS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via the 'url (comment_author_url)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because WordPress core's esc_url() preserves HTML entity-encoded characters, allowing a crafted entity-encoded payload in the comment 'Website' field to survive storage and be DOM-decoded by the browser into executable markup at the sink.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":7.2},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/siteorigin/so-css/compare/1.6.7...1.6.8","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/so-css/tags/1.6.6/js/inspector.js#L280","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/so-css/tags/1.6.6/so-css.php#L69","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/so-css/tags/1.6.6/so-css.php#L899","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/b0ff9652-1b45-43d6-949a-92bfeaee96d3?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T23:00:53.604569364+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2026-107764","score":0.00236,"percentile":0.14491,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
